Longer, sturdier knife that can serve to carve or more general duties.
Good knife to complement smaller carving knives, for projects such as spoons or coat pegs.
Will happily perform big power stokes to remove lots of wood quickly, but despite its size, will deal with more delicate work.
Hand forged partial tang blade made from high quality Swedish carbon steel, it will take and keep a great edge.
22mm (7/8") deep at the handle end of the blade x 100mm (4") long and 4mm thick.
Bevels ground flat to approx 25 degrees however the polishing process can produce bevels that are slightly convex.
The ribbed handle, made from Swedish elm, provides a good grip and is 110mm (4 1/4") long.
Total length 210mm (8 1/4") long.
S. Djarv Hantverk AB is a small family business specializing in making hand-forged tools in small numbers for woodworking.
They make approximately 4000 tools per year. Svante forges the blades and Elsa makes and fits the handles.
The blade sheath is made from a thick black split leather with rivets Made by the WOODSMITH leather guy RedBeard.
Our Birch Bark Sheath 100x35mm also fits perfectly.
Delivered sharpened, but would benefit from a final hone.
