SELECT THE 'SHARPENING' OPTION BELOW AND WE WILL DO THIS FOR YOU.
The blade is curved but in-line with the handle, i.e. straight.
Like all Morris tools the cutting bevels are long without shoulders and ground to about 20 degrees.
The robust oval handle, made in unvarnished ash, is riveted into the blade's welded socket, 890mm (35") long.
Total length 1320mm (52").
Tool making has been an industry at the Morris Dunsford, (Devon) works for more than 100 years and in our opinion these tools are far better than anything else on the market. This is despite the need for some grinding / filing and honing to remove flats and/or burrs on the edge.
Once the edge has been established, sharpen with canoe stones.
Down-to-earth tool designed for professional use and long life.
