...many thanks for your excellent service.
Very light, small axe with a narrow blade.
Developed by Gransfors Bruk axesmith Lennart Pettersson (LP), who, as a keen fisherman wanted a small axe that could top and tail his catch and use the poll like a 'priest'. However, this little axe is suitable for a much wider range of work.
You could almost treat this axe like you would a favorite knife, take it almost anywhere with you (well maybe not in your flight hand luggage!).
Perfect for carving small spoon blanks.
People are often surprised to see this axe more expensive than some of the larger axes, the reason for this is its size which makes it difficult to forge and takes more time to get right.
To forge a small axe with the hole in the head requires great craftsmanship.
Total weight 12oz, the cutting edge is 65mm (2 1/2") long, the American hickory handle is 260mm (10") long.
Hand forged of high carbon Swedish steel and tempered at the bit to a hardness of 57 Rockwell.
Comes with a grain leather sheath, the Gransfors Bruk Axe Book and a twenty year forging guarantee.
