I WAS NERVOUS ABOUT ORDERING OUT OF THE USA, NEVER DID IT BEFORE AND ALL WENT PERFECTLY.
Perfectly balanced axe, commonly used in America when axes were the main tool used to fell trees. Double-bit felling axes were not commonly used in Great Britain.
Used as a felling axe where typically one of the bits was finely honed for a narrow 'felling edge', while the other bit was ground with steeper bevels for work nearer the ground where a fine edge would easily get damage.
Shares the same head as the Gransfors Bruk Double-bit Throwing Axe.
Head weighs 3Ibs, with 150mm (6") long bits, the straight American hickory handle is 890mm (35") long with a swell knob.
Comes with grain leather sheaths for both bits, the Gransfors Bruk Axe Book, and of course a twenty year guarantee on the head.
