Just let you know the axe and the wedge arrived safely thanks - an excellent service.
One of the best options when working in the woods, especially for group conservation tasks and situations where other types of saw might get easily damaged or people get cut when transporting them
We have two versions available of this good quality 21" bowsaw from Bahco:
SELECT FROM THE 'VERSION' DROP-DOWN BOX BELOW.
Both saws come fitted with a standard Peg Toothed 21" blade.
The ERGO 21" saw features an easy to use mechanism for quick blade tensioning to ensure straight cutting. The handle is also more comfortable to grip and has a built-in knuckle guard.
Technical saws such as the Silky Gomtaro are quite rightly gaining much favour in terms of convenience and speed of cutting but in woodland situations which are often far from clean, bowsaws are still the practical choice.
Also when blunt, blades can be quickly changed without tools with relatively inexpensive replacements.
Use for cross cutting green wood, pruning, felling coppice material or small trees.
The pointed nose of both these 21" Bowsaws is good for cutting in tight coppice stools.
Painted with a bright orange rust protecting high-impact enamel paint which makes them easier to find in the woods.
Lightweight at 663 grams.
Easy blade changing.
Replacement Raker Tooth blades available.
Comes with a plastic blade protector for when the saw is not being used, however have a look at our new Wooden Sheath for Bowsaws
