This low sweep, no. 47, gently curved gouge leaves very shallow tool marks, perfect for the final finish to a project such as the inside of a medium - large wooden bowl.
The corners of the cutting edge are gently rounded to lessen the risk of marking the wood.
This is a tool best used as a pushing tool i.e. not with a mallet.
Made from high carbon steel.
Comes sharp and ready to use.
Total length 12" (305mm), the beech handel is 6" (150mm).
